The Coast Guard Auxiliary is the uniformed civilian volunteer arm of the United States Coast Guard. The Auxiliary 6th Division, or Gold Coast Division, operates in the Monterey Bay and its vicinity. Specific Flotillas are stationed in Capitola, Monterey, and Santa Cruz. We invite you to add your talents to the support of the United States Coast Guard by joining the Flotilla near you. Membership is open to all U.S. Citizens who are at least 17 years old. At the Flotilla level, you can assist with Recreational Boating Safety Programs, and train to become a boat crew member, program visitor or vessel examiner. You will learn seamanship, weather, navigation, and radio communications; participate in Coast Guard Auxiliary patrols on the water or in the air, and much, much more. Our Division also has great fellowship activities! There is no specific requirement on the number of hours you must volunteer each year. You contribute when you have the time. Please contact the Flotilla nearest you to attend one of our monthly Flotilla Meetings and learn how you can join the fun!

Welcome aboard!
